After receiving his medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Bashian completed his residency in General Surgery at Inspira Medical Center in South Jersey. During his training there, he published numerous articles about Bariatric Surgery, and was given the Inspira Health Network President’s Award while serving as Chief Resident.
He then advanced his training by completing a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery with Dr. Alex Gandsas, a nationally renowned bariatric surgeon at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland.
Dr. Bashian has now returned to his home of South Jersey to serve the community he grew up with, providing bariatric surgery to those motivated to begin their weight loss journey.
